Midview 6, Lakewood 0: Midview pitcher Eric Lauer pitched a complete game, no-hitter in West Shore Conference play.

Lauer pitched seven innings, striking out 13. He even contributed offensively,hitting a double and drove in a run.

Cody Callaway added two hits for the Middies and knocked in two RBIs.

Edison 11, Margaretta 0: Edison sophomore Adam Wolf tossed a five-inning no-hitter, striking out ten and moves to 3-1 overall on the season.

Trent Emody hit a home run for Edison, and Tommy Gerbacht, Adam Wroblewski and Austin Utter hit doubles for the Chargers.

Edison moves to 7-7 on the season, 2-3 in the Sandusky Bay Conference.

Brookside 8, Wellington 3: Brookside took advantage of Wellington fielding miscues to route the Dukes.

Wellington had seven errors on the game and only one of Brookside’s runs were earned.

Brookside improves to 4-7 and 1-5 in Patriot Athletic Conference. Wellington drops to 2-6 and 2-3 in the PAC.

Softball

Elyria 12, Strongsville 0: Mackenzie Phares led the Pioneers with three RBIs in a mercy-rule win over the Mustangs.

Carly Bachna, Patty Davis, Alexis Roseboro had two hits each, while Sybil Roseboro had three.

Caitlyn Minney improved to 9-1 on the mound. She struck out nine batters in five innings of work.

New London 1, Crestview 0: Cassidy Wise pitched a one-hit shut out with 12 strikeouts and Kelly Norrod had the game-winning RBI single that scored Rylee Haswell, who singled and stole second base in the seventh inning of a Firelands Conference make-up game.
