2012 Morning Journal Tennis Preview: Top 5 teams

• Westlake — Despite graduating several players from last year’s No. 1-state ranked team, the Demons should be one of the top teams in the area with Lauren Golick, Julia Dunbar and Melissa Djohan.

• Norwalk — Despite graduating Olivia Kasten and several others, Aubrey Cook looks to take the No. 1 spot and lead the Truckers to an NOL title.

• Perkins — The Pirates return seven letter winners, including Keli Daugherty and Sarah Sullivan from last year’s team that went 12-5.

• St. Mary — The Panthers return five key players, including two sets of twins (DeRiso and Myers).

• Avon — The Eagles won their first LCAAA Tournament last season, along with their first WSC title. They return quite a bit of talent and should be one of the area’s top teams.
